RIDING & RACING

There is a 2 week break from Cross racing over Christmas & New Years.  Always good to take a break from racing every weekend and just enjoy some ride time.  Today it was 5 hours on my new 2011 Specialized SL3 built up with SRAM Red.

Another beautiful day for cycling in Monterey.

It will be very nice to race for Bay Bikes of Carmel for 2011.  I am very thankful for their support!

Below is more Cross racing photos from the last CCCX race.  It was one of my favorite races in a long time, I really liked the muddy track, the tricky turns, and technical board sections.

It was 5 hours today on the Road Bike.  What a beautiful day it was riding along the coast of Monterey.  There was a head wind for the first 2 hours of my ride, but I really like head winds!

WEEKEND

Felt a little lacking snap in this weekend's Sacramento Cyclocross race.  The course was really fun and the riding was great, just lacked any crisp go in my legs. 

Then on Sunday I did 3 hours on the Road bike.  Best part was getting caught out in some serious downpour.  Heavy showers and solid rain is always extra good to be trapped under for a Road ride.



RIDING & RACING

The Tuesday night rides have been going off recently and I really enjoy these hard sessions.  Small group rides always break down to extra hard riding, and doing it at night just illuminates the action!

Cyclocross racing is the best, and I have about 10 races left this season.  Some of my most favorite races are Cyclocross style.
