Pay Attention

Last lap attack up the climb and a face full of effort at the top of the hill- just be absolutely sure it is the last lap! A simple look at the lap cards is a must or you could be sprinting across the finish line for nothing....

If you are going to be serious about racing, and you take part in a multi lap Criterium or Short Track race.... YOU BETTER PAY ATTENTION TO THE LAP CARDS!

I can learn from my mistakes, and so can anyone else who reads this writing.

I felt really good on the Sunday Criterium in Vacaville. Yet I did not read the lap cards which showed there was 2 to go when I thought it was 1 to go.

Some things you have to learn the hard way..... it does hurt so bad inside when you make a mistake like not looking to the lap cards and getting the lap count confused when your having a good day on the bike and ready to chalk up a good result.

Sometimes learning the hard way is the best way to learn.

And most of all I have to improve from this experience and understand that the hard lessons in life are the best lessons. And when you learn from your mistakes you become ready to achieve your goals for real.
